The Ushio Festival is Otaru’s biggest summer event. Otaru Canal Cruise will operate a special cruise for this festival’s fireworks display. As our canal boats are open, you can enjoy great views of the fireworks. Tickets for this cruise can only be purchased through our official website. If you purchase tickets from other sites (auction site etc.), no refund will be provided if this cruise is cancelled because of bad weather. Furthermore, please understand that any tickets found to be purchased from resellers will be deemed invalid, and the cancellation fees will be charged to the holders of those tickets. After purchase, we will send you tickets in electronic form by email. It is necessary to present these e-ticket when boarding. Please be sure to contact us in advance if you do not receive the email containing your e-tickets. Again, please understand that screenshots of e-ticket cannot be used to board. Please note that if there are any changes to the fireworks event schedule, the meeting time and boarding schedule may also be subject to change. We appreciate your understanding.

Our ticket center is located next to the Chuo Bridge on the Otaru Canal. Please come to the boarding area beside the ticket center by 19:15. There are only 2 toilets in the ticket center. If possible, please use the public toilets nearby. +If you cannot display your eTicket on the screen of your mobile phone, please come to our ticket center (next to the boarding area).

② Boarding / Departure
Life jackets will be distributed, and instructions on how to wear them will be provided to passengers in the order they arrive. Passengers will be shown to our boats once they are ready to board. +Please have your eTicket (on the screen of your smart phone) ready for inspection. +Please understand that you cannot choose where to sit, and that you may need to share a seat with people from another group.

③ Start of the Otaru Ushio Festival Fireworks Display
The fireworks will be launched from the Ironai Pier. Please enjoy close-up views of the display!

④Return Voyage / Disembarkation
Thank you for taking part. Our boats will return to the boarding area next to our ticket center by the Chuo Bridge. The cruise will end there, and passengers may disembark in the order in which they arrive.

- Passengers who have had too much to drink or who cannot comply with the captain's instructions will not be allowed to board.
- Please bring babies and infants too small to wear life jackets onboard in a baby sling/baby carrier.
- There are about 10 steps between the boarding area and jetty. Please understand that access by wheelchair is not possible.
- Please understand that you cannot choose where to sit. The captain will assign seats while making sure the boat is balanced.
- What to Bring
- You are welcome to bring food and drinks onboard.
- Additional Info
- If the weather is bad, or if the fireworks display is cancelled, this cruise may be cancelled on the cruise date or 1 day prior.
- In the case of light rain, this cruise will operate if the fireworks display is held as scheduled. When you board, we will provide a raincoat free of charge.
- Please understand that cancellation fees will apply if you cancel for personal reasons before cancellation of the cruise because of bad weather is announced.
- Traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue for the Otaru Ushio Festival, so nearby parking facilities cannot be used. Please come by public transportation.
- There are only 2 toilets at our ticket center. Where possible, please use public toilets or the temporary toilets at the festival venue.
- The cruise is about 2 hours long, and the boat may rock while stopped to view the fireworks. If you feel unwell, please tell our staff before boarding.
